Very joyful shot Heather. You got the colors of the bird very nice, what I don't always succeed. The bright blue sky and orange roof make it for a joyful shot and well compliments that funny bird.

Thank you Debra. I was pleased about how relaxed this little guy was in my presence, considering I had my dog beside me. This photo is one of several frames I got of him listening intently to the click of the camera before he decided to go for the suet.

Description
Once I got the suet feeder out it wasn't long before it was busy again. I love how these nuthatches traverse a tree downwards and announce themselves with their little bonk like call. The clicking of my camera caught his attention and gave me a nice upside down pose for this shot.
